From Sevierville we take SR 66 up to I-40, head east to where I-81 begins near Dandridge, and get off at exit 8 (US 25E) or exit 12 (SR 160) depending on which side of town you're on. From Knoxville it's I-40 east to I-81, or US 11E up through Jefferson City. SR 66 also reaches I-81 at exit 4 in White Pine. The East Tennessee Progress Center sits near exit 8.
