Furniture, pianos and heavy items
Big furniture, upright pianos and heavy safes take planning: the stairs, the tight turns, the path out to the truck. Our own crew handles them with our own truck, pads and dollies, and every piece gets wrapped before it moves. For a grand piano or anything unusually large, call first so we can plan it.
What we move
- Big furniture. Sectionals, sleeper sofas, armoires, china cabinets, dining tables and bedroom sets.
- Upright pianos. We move upright pianos. For a grand piano, or anything unusually big, call first so we can talk it through.
- Heavy safes. Including gun safes. Tell us the size and where it sits so we bring the right crew and gear.
- Appliances. Washers, dryers and refrigerators, carried out and set in place.

Taking it apart and putting it back
Beds, tables and other furniture that won't fit through a door come apart, and we put them back together at the other end. That's part of the job, not an add-on. Dressers going up or down a big staircase should be emptied first. With no stairs or only a few, you can leave things in the drawers.
Stairs, tight turns and steep driveways
A lot of East Tennessee homes don't make heavy furniture easy. Split-levels, basement stairs, narrow hallways, and cabins up a steep gravel drive. Tell us about the stairs and the driveway when you call. If a big truck can't get up the drive, we send our 16-foot truck, on its own or alongside the 26-foot one.
On every piece we use moving blankets and shrink wrap.
