- Wipe cabinets and drawers inside and out.
- Degrease the range hood and backsplash.
Bathrooms
- Scrub tub, shower, toilet and sink; remove hard-water stains.
- Clean mirrors, fixtures and the inside of cabinets.
Every room
- Dust ceiling fans, light fixtures, vents and baseboards.
- Patch nail holes if your lease allows it.
- Clean windows, sills and blinds.
- Vacuum and mop floors last.
Before you hand back the keys
- Take date-stamped photos of every room.
- Check your lease for required cleaning items.
- Leave all keys, remotes and garage openers.
